Question about Samsung's Laptop 300E5A and Windows 8.1 with UEFI...?

    Hi guys,
    I have a Samsung's laptop model NP300E5A-S04IT.
    I read that installing Linux on these models with UEFI enabled the laptop could brick.
    If I install windows 8.1 with UEFI on this laptop, do I risk something?
    Now I'm on Windows 8 running in Legacy BIOS mode and BIOS/UEFI version is 09QA.

    But i read somewhere that the brick can happen also under windows, is it true?
