I have a Dell E510 that does not have SLIC in the BIOS. I used the Vistaloader Version 1 with an ASUS Notebook Bin/Cert to activate Vista Ultimate. Could not get other loaders to work. I recently installed W7 and used the Dell M09 Bin/Cert to activate W7. No others would work. Question is: If the Loader modifies the SLIC tables in memory, why couldn't I use any Bin/Cert matching pair to activate with the correct key when there is no SLIC info in the base BIOS? I have used the Acpiscope tool to verify that the Slic info for both OSes is in fact ASUS and Dell.
