    No i did not :)

the patch will be previewed first (Preview Monthly Rollup = 3rd tuesday at least)
then it will be included in March Security Monthly Rollup

it's all in the article, unless they decided to change the schedule

But they said there would be a Stand Alone and Preview of Monthly Rollup updates, I don't wanna install the rollup. I just want the single SHA2 patch so I can still get Windows Defender updates.

Any word on what the KB number of the stand alone patch is? MS's site is awful to navigate and I can't seem to find a straight answer on sites that are reviewing the latest Feb patches.

    Thank you very much

    Both are needed

    KB4474419 adds the SHA2 support
    KB4490628 correctly service SHA2-only updates

Ok, Thanks. And they don't include any hidden telemetry or the like? No hidden anything, right?
They are each just updating that one thing, right?

Any reports of issues from them? I ask because I'm very untrusting of Microsoft with all the update fiasco that's been going on.

I just tried installing KB4474419(x64) through Windows Update this morning. No good. Failed to install and reverted after reboot. Tried again and failed. Then I tried using the stand-alone installer from the Windows Update Catalog. Failed a third time. Are there any prerequisites I need to know about?

The SSU KB4490628 must be installed first, I think.

    No prerequisite needed
but it's always best to install SSU first, alone

you may check C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log for failure details

John Sutherland, have you try installing the SSU first on x64? Did that install ok? and did KB4474419(x64) install fine after that?
    Thank you very much
