    Hello,

    Which Tools do I need in order to mod my bios by myself please?
    I have read lot of threads already and they are many Tools availible, I am getting a bit confused :confused:
    I already have the manufacturer's specific SLIC 2.1 and Cert files, and the Ultimate serial.
    Do I also need a loader or can I just use the command lines from the Guide ?

    Windows 7 Ultimate
    UEFI/GPT
    Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5
    AMI BIOS

    I got my updated bios file there: forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/48085-gigabyte-modified-bios-296.html
    download link: mediafire.com/download/9yy746sbuf4p72f/g1sniperm5_mod_f8c.zip

    Thanks :)

    OK, so I did this steps so far :

    - download tools :
    "PhoenixTool.exe" v2.50
    "Rw.exe" v1.6.5.9
    - run RW
    - save ACPI Tables to file "AcpiTbls.rw"
    - run PhoenixTool
    - choose manufacturer -> "other"
    - insert :
    BIOS file "g1sniperm5_mod.f8c"
    SLIC file "GBT[GBTUACPI]2.1-1A9179F1.BIN"
    RW file "AcpiTbls.rw"
    CERT file "GBT-32EC9703.XRM-MS"
    - choose SLP2 Module -> "SLPSUPPORT2.MOD"
    - choose Method -> "Module"
    - press "Go" buttona
    - and Voilà ! new BIOS file "g1sniperm5_mod_SLIC.f8c" and no error message :cool:

    Is there any way I could test it before flashing my BIOS ?

    I am asking lot of questions sorry, I didnt even know what a SLIC or a Loader is two days ago.

    Thank you very much Tito and MDL forums :worthy: and thanks to website d-fault.nl
    I am reading a lot of interesting stuff and there is still tons to learn:tea:
