Open registry and go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and edit the value EditionId to Enterprise

    Actually, he needs to edit:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

    EditionID: Professional
    ProductName: WIndows 7 Professional

Then, run the Windows 7 Enterprise DVD and upgrade from your Windows 7 "Professional" (Ultimate remarked) to Enterprise.

After the update, it will more probably works as a new install of Enterprise (not activated).
Activate it using Hazar, Daz, or any other loader/method you want.

Btw, why you want Enterprise instead Ultimate?

You won't be able to use a loader with Enterprise because it is a Volume Only OS. You will have to either use a real key, removeWAT/chewWGA or AntiWAT, or the KMS Emulator crack.

Enterprise to Enterprise ugprade works fine, it's used for repairs so it would have worked either way. productname does not need to be changed. I upgraded a Vista HP to enterprise by changing editionid to Enterprise

Why do you need to do this? As Hazar mentioned, if it is to test software that queries the registry, you can change the key indicated so the software "thinks" it is Ent vs. Ult.

But, point of fact, both editions are IDENTICAL! The sole difference between Ult & Ent is the way it is purchased & activated... After that, ALL the installed programs & features are IDENTICAL!

Enterprise is Ultimate without game explorer and inbox games disabled, and KMS/VL licensing.

If that is a question yes it always has been better to install Ultimate only need to activate once or with OEM SLP never.
