After a careless bois update, My motherboard now can ONLY boot from SATA or pxe, all USB are dead, so no keyboard(no PS/2 port) , no thumb drive. It still will boot from DVD drive, so I tried to burn some dos 6.22 image(.Ima format) with the afudos and backup bios file to a dvdrw. When I finally make it boot , it doesn't execute the autoexec.bat like the old way, instead it just show the command prompt. Did I miss anything? Will DOS boot from the CD ROM execute the autoexec.bat file? Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can make a DOS bootable CD/DVD. It usually involves using an emulated floppy drive image, so hopefully your image fits into 1.44MB or 2.88MB. Can you post a link to your BIOS image and flash program that you need to run?
