Question: if I have Windows 10 Home HP Laptop can I upgrade FREE to windows 10 pro using an HP Windows 10 Pro Key? If so how do i do it? Also if it does not work and I have a Windows 7 Pro Key can I Install Windows 7 Pro on that HP windows 10 Laptop then do a Windows 10 Pro Upgrade? Thanks
HP windows 10 Pro key will not work directly! If you want Windows 10 pro upgrade - Format your system and install Windows 7 pro - Activate using Daz loader or HP windows pro Key (if SLIC 2.1 is present in the BIOS) - upgrade from within Windows 7 pro to Windows 10 pro. Connect to internet to get activated. Done !
Thanks for the reply. So let me make sure i get what your saying " HP Windows 10 Pro Key will not work on a HP Laptop that came preinstalled with Windows 10 Home. that came So OEM Slic key will work? I do have a key on a Dell Windows 7 Pro OA sticker would that key work if the Slic OEM Key does not work?
What of I format then use HP Windows 10 OEM Pro Key to reinstall windows 10? I just dont want to format then install Windows 7 Pro then upgrade. I will if i have to but I was thinking that since i already have windows 10 Home does the Bios not have Windows 10 Pro key in it aswell and just reinstall with Hp default windows 10 Pro key.
You can upgrade from 10 home to 10 pro (change productkey and insert the generic Pro key ending on 3v66t, it will upgrade instantly) and try to activate afterward using the genuine 7 SP1 Pro key.
I don't get you - you have a Laptop with Windows 10 Home and Now you want Windows 10 Pro - is it so ? After WIndows 7 Pro fresh install you can use the Win 7 Pro COA sticker key to see whether SLIC 2.1 is present or not. Windows 7 Pro will get activated if SLIC 2.1 is present. I would suggest you to use DAZ loader instead - it will check if SLIC 2.1 is present in the BIOS and you can choose either your own Key or the default DELL key present in DAZ loader to activate. It will use the SLIC MOD ONLY if SLIC is not present in the BIOS otherwise it will just insert the key to activate windows without any other MOD.

Install Win 10 Pro with a ISO made from the esd of Build 14393 Pro. The OS will be unactivated, then insert the Win 10 Pro Dell key and see if it'll activate Worked before, but no guarantees that it still does.
Sorry no I don't. This is my first thread. Please show me where all my other threads you say I have done. I was just asking a question. I paid over $1500 on my laptop that I believe should have been pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro not Home. Thats why I was asking how I can get Pro.
