I have a dumb question for you leeters

I installed 7 with an Asus board
    Changed boards to a gigabyte.

Now some of my slic info still has asus info in it

Would this be a prob with identifying and modifying slic/slp bios ?

    Uhm what ?

windows 7 is installed on a asus motherboard.. and now you changed to gigate motherboard?
Ofcourse it still has asus info in it (7 setup has it) as you havent changed to gigabyte cert+key

You need to run slmgr commands to change to cert+key to your oembrand and that'll do it.

there might be a modded bios on this forum already for your mb,do a search, flash then use opa tool for cert, and key, goodluck.

Is your win7 install a retail or OEM install? Did the Asus board have a modded bios? Which Gigabyte MB do you have? There may be a modded bios available or if you can supply a link I can probably mod it for you. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
