    Hello,

I just want to ask somebody skilled.
When I add new language interface and Windows 8.0 (and 8.1) starts to download the languagepack from WU, is there any option to track this download and find the storage location of this MSI/CAB/MSU ...?

If so, where is it stored?
Is it deleted right after extraction?

    Thanks for any answer. :)

    Probably in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

It should be possible. I once took Windows Media Player 9 setup from C:\WINNT\SoftwareDistribution\Download in Windows 2000. In Windows 8 this will likely be C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

Yes, this is possible. I used that yesterday to help someone on Neowin to install language packs: neowin.net/forum/topic/1173119-unable-to-change-windows-8-language/#entry595908135 (steps 4 and 5)

    Thanks...
I'll try that in W8-1 to gather all three langpacks I need (server, clientx64, clientx32)...
I hope they are ready already :))

I don't think WIN 8.1 RTM language packs are on the WU servers already (the Dutch one wasn't when I checked it)

OK, they aren't there yet... :)
Same applies for .NET 3.5 WU Installation...
