Question on activation with modded SLIC 2.1

    Ok, now i successfully flashed the mod-bios SLIC 2.1 on my HP DV5t. Now what are the specific steps to get it activated? Do i need cert or anything else?

    You need to enter SLP key and add OEM certificate and .. you're done

    oh, so where can get the cert for HP? Can i used the old one for Vista?

    I'm a newbie at Vista and Windows 7.
    I've flashed the mod-bios for my Lenovo laptop from SLIC 2.0 to SLIC 2.1 and then activated Windows 7 successfully.
    And I wonder:
    1/ What will happen if I update the BOIS later (when the newer BIOS update is available)? Will my Windows be de-activated?
    2/ Will the SLIC version be back to 2.0?
    3/ Will my Windows always be activated when I update to SP1 or SP2 or M$ could fix it?

    1 and 2:
    It depends which SLIC version Lenovo will attach to new BIOS update. If it goes with SLIC 2.0 and you update with such, you will be deactivated.

    3. Time will show. The biggest horror may be with your used SLP key which may be banned, but it's a small chance.
