    Hi everyone
my first post here, love the website great resource for me.
    learned so much from here

I am curious to know is there anyway of removing access to windows update on a single machine (not on a domain for group policy use) i want to remove windows updates with hosts file I can do this on xp but not on 7.

I also want to remove all links to windows update in operating system (and hidden callbacks).

I would also like to automate this process in unattended Disk but cant seem to find any applications similar to nlite etc... for this

some of you might want to know why i want to remove updates when you can do OEM bios MOD, but I have found you cant do this to all machines like some packard bells and HP

so I want to use a loader to activate windows with updates disabled. Most people I fix machines for are home users who dont want to fork the money out for original 7 when they been messed over with vista :-/ (recession in ireland blows)

anyways peepz thanks for all the great info on all your posts and i look forward to a reply
