    Is Windows 8 based on JULinux and i was asked by a friend to ask here, and I told him its not based on JULinux if there is any info to support this claim much will be appreciated.

    It's not linux. Should be good enough to make your point.

    Definately not, honestly can't see how anyone could have come to that conclusion.

    Windows 8 is based on NT (currently 6.2) as it pretty much always has been (Except the 9X days where it was based on DOS). The NT kernel has similarities to the old VMS OS, and was actually designed by the same person. It has no relation to Linux or any UNIX-like OS.
