1. It's up to you what major build you install, as long as it is still supported by MSFT. 2004 = 20H1 = currently the latest officially released Windows 2. Yes, if your Dell has a MSDM bioskey for 8/10, best to put in an ei.cfg* in the USB:\Sources folder, to avoid the auto SKU selection, based on the MSDM and you will be able to select Education. * ei.cfg Code: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0
HWID = permanent, needs no attention after establishing the activation. KMS_VL_ALL is fine to use too, but can be removed by AV's eventually.
This has bitten me a few times in the past. Setup a new computer for one of my relatives, or redo an infected computer from scratch, and they go buy Kaspersky or Norton or fill-in-the-blank anti-virus and bingo, their system is no longer activated. This makes HWID very attractive.
You can always create exclusions in the AV, for defender it's already done. Example kaspersky: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...activation-script.79535/page-120#post-1591347
Yes, I know, and I always make sure it is excluded in the default Microsoft AV. But I really have no control over the computer after it leaves my hands. And if I try to explain it to them when I turn over the computer, they either don't understand or else completely forget about it when they do purchase a different AV. All of which makes HWID a no brainer.
Because the staff said no hosting of or linking to HWID scripts and tools. They don't have to explain or justify their rules to you, me or anyone else. If you are familiar with this site and its known scripting gurus, then simply googling massgravel and looking into the results would yield some known names.
Both can be considered piracy (hwid, except official path genuine 7 SP1 or 8.1 to 10), kms, when used outside of the business environment, will be considered piracy too. Both are not hacks.
Lol MS doesn't care which is why the scripts are still up on Github/Gitlab and have been for the longest.
but you have to use the latest version of KMS_VL_ALL - if a new version of that one comes out, grab it and remove the old one
