I posted this in the Windows7 install guide previously. But thought perhqps this got more attention because I need the info as soon as possible :)

    1. My laptop has wifi, will windows 7 auto-seek/enable wifi after a fresh install. If yes how to prevent this?

    2. There was some trouble with the wsus updater agent years ago. What was the fuss about. If my setup decides to update to a new update agent. How to revert? Can I prevent update of the agent?

    3. If I do not activate my fresh install, can I download updates in grace period?

    4. If I use a tool to download updates for my system, like Windows Update Mini Toolkit. Will it download only updates applicable to my systems hardware? or download everything?

    5. If I download SP1 can I pick and choose what updates to install or will it install everything in it?

    6. If I slipstream this hotfix KB982018 into the install files, will it be used during setup?

    TY

What if I do not have SP1 yet installed will the updater work til I get SP1?

Is there a tool which generates a list of all installed updates on my particular system, and lets me download them as backup?
