quick question about asus oem files.

    hey guys just curious what is the difference betwween or why does asus have 2 sets of oem files for SLP1 is one set older or newer than the other

    i have two sets one is

    B20C65BF and the other is 2411858C

    and i downloaded another complete set with 9 files and the oem folder and there CRC values are different as well
    so i have 3 different sets .

    what going on here any info would be greatly appreciated

    CRC = 2411858C
    CRC = B20C65BF
    So B20C65BF can be consider obsolete, 2411858C contains more string.

    can anyone post these or give me a link to them? I have never been able to get Asus OEM installs to work, and now I guess I know why.

    which source disc would be the best to start with retail ,oem ,VL i was just going to open the iso with ultaiso and drop the 4 files into it . guess i have some more reading to do . the complete set i have doesn't have any crc values matching either of the two sets listed above. do i also have to do something with the 4 files from (2411858C) modify them? compress them ?change the name of them OEMBIOS.CAT to this OEMBIOS.CA_ first
    or can they just be dropped into the iso as is . ??

    No you cant just rename the files you need to compress them with makecab

    Use the "makecab" command
    example: makecab oembios.cat

    You can put the files compress or not, but delete the old.

    thanks for the info . one more question .if i only use the 4 files what disc works best to overright them into . a retail disc an oem disc. or VL disc thanks .

    Use the oem version since you're using oem slp key & activation method.
