Quick question about updates.

    Do Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 share the same updates?

    e.g. I have a folder full of Windows 7 updates and I want to use them on Windows Server 2008 R2.

    You can always try them.
    However if you are using 2008 R2 as a "Server" why would you want to risk stability?

    No, parts of it might be the same, but I would not even think of attempting such cross
