My Samsung HDTV has an HDMI jack with optional analog stereo audio jacks associated with it. I would imagine that how you would use that cable. Audio that passes through the HDMI connector is digital.

One end plugs into your PC's sound card and the other end into your hdtv audio jacks if you had any.

hmm I have onboard sound so how would that work? it's Realtek onboard asus board. Also would this audio jack go into any red/white audio input on the tv? Thanks for your help bro :p Trying to figure out if I should order the cable with audio or without. Thanks again

Could I use mini headphone jack and plug it into headphone jack on pc speakers and buy a cable that goes mini headphone to dual rca jacks and plug those into computer for audio and then DVI to HDMI for video?
