Am I the only one that had to take control of the personal folder in Users? Before I did that nothing worked - settings would not save and applications would crash - it was horrible. Afterwards everything went to like I had it on 8.1 but with all the good new stuffs!

...hmm haven't heard of that PMR..
Did you make a weird user account or anything that might mess with the default permissions?

I signed in with my MS account and tried to restore a few of my 8.1 apps like teamspeak foobar2000 and minecraft and i found that i could not do that - then after setting up foobar2000 it would not let me close the app without a crash saying that it was not able to write the config files (odd if you ask me) - i though that it was something default and i took it over! very odd if i am the only one :p

A little OT but when i tried an install with the account name administrator and autologon (in my xml) it defaulted to administrator_proc and prompted for a password. If i deleted the _proc part and entered the proper pass it logged in. So i guess user accounts are handled a little differently in 10 as i never had this problem in previous versions.
