Hi, I'm having a weird issue with the Action Center Icon. Sometimes when windows boots it's icon indicates Quiet Hours enabled (wrong way sign), but it wasn't set manually in any way (this happened right in the first boot after install, and in another RTM installation). Other times it simply changes after a while, and doesn't seem to act as such because notifications pop ups still seem to appear. If I click it to open, the Quiet Hours button isn't even highlighted. Manually changing Quiet Hours will return the regular clear bubble icon. Is this a bug, or expected behavior? In W8 it was possible to schedule this, but I see no such option in W10 (and I'm not using Cortana). Policies in gpedit still exist to set start and stop x minutes after 00:00, but even enabling the policy to disable Quiet Hours has no effect. It's still possible to change it manually, and the icon change behavior doesn't change. SFC finds nothing wrong.
Pretty much the same for me, it's a buggy PoS, most of the time it shows highlighted, but clicking on it, there are no notifications, I ended up disabling it completely and modding it to the old Win32 version - it's nice and quiet now Lived for 30+ years without a notifications area, don't need one now
I see the same behavior with my Win10 install. It is driving me nuts that it is on and off "Quiet Hours" by random. I sometimes miss important notifications just because it was back on "Quiet Hours" mode and I didn't notice it. So this seems to be one of the remaining bugs of Win10, hopefully Microsoft will address this very soon...
There is no problem so far has been - always running. I use two pc's simultaneously, both are Windows 10 x64 pro build 10240
I've looked around and seen very scarce reports of something similar happening. Let's see if th2 brings some changes...
I also had this sporadic glitch with build 10240, and I didn't notice the glitch with the th2 10547+ preview builds.
happened to me on some installs and some didn't (all pro x64 no tweaks or anything), they'll fix it on th2 seems like in 10565 doesn't happen neither
