Is there a software that would allow me to have both my external 1TB USB HDD mirror in real time? I back up all my stuff in 1 external HDD but am still afraid that it dies on me so i'm thinking of doing a mirror in real time with another external 1TB HDD. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the feedback. I don't know Linux...sadly & i currently only have external drives. None of which says anything about RAID so i'm guessing they are just normal external HDD...which bring me back to my initial question. Is there any software that would do RAID 1 on external HDD. Or would having a software that Sync 2 HDD be the same?? Oh...i'm using Windows 7 & OSX. Any ideas??
If there were software that allowed two external drives to be mirrored (like a MS dymanic volume), it would be problematic. Among other issues, it would be too easy to break an array if the drives were external. What you want is sync. software, which is NOT RAID, but should suffice for your needs. An external RAID enclosure would work with both OS's you have.
Yah...i figured that is what i need....a sync software. Any particular good sync software one can recommend? I've tried MS version but don't feel very confident about it
I have tried several Backup Programs and ending up using KLS.Backup.2008.Professional v4.7.1.0 to schedule/sync all my backup. It may not be the best software but adequate for my purpose!
