Using Virtual box when you create a new vmand when it asks you how much ram you want it to use is the number you put in permanently taken away from the host? or is that the amount of ram uses when it runs the program? so when you close virtual box you will still be able to use the ram?
    thanks

It is the amount of RAM used when the VM is running. Shutting down the VM frees them memory.
