random keys not working

    please could anyone help ?

    l had to replace my laptops keyboard now random keys don't work.

    thanks in advance for any help.

    i went into keyboard properties but the driver tabs are greyed out?

    do i still need drivers to run a laptops keyboard?

    i cant see any windows updates for keyboad?

    i will buy an usb to see if that works?

    maybe it is worth testing with MS-DOS or some Linux Live CD just to make sure the keyboard is really OK

    please how do i test with MS-DOS?

    i did try reverting to a system restore point prior to the keyboard change.

    Try checking the connection cable , remember you have just tried to replace keyboard I think more hardware problem than software i,e, drivers.

    Ive reinstalled win 7

    Ive removed kb\ uninstalled\ reinstalled kb drivers in device manager

    Ive noticed there are 2 HID keyboard devices in device manager?

    Ive tried an usb kb that works fine.
