Re-install Windows 8 Core

    I recently bought an Asus laptop pre-installed with Windows 8 Core. I hate those bloatware that came with it. Is it possible to install a new OS (RTM) into it while using the same key provided by Asus. My laptop was already activated so I'm worried whether I could activate it again when I re-install the OS.

    Depends if you had Core or CoreSingleLanguage/CountrySpecific edition. For Core, simply use the non-VL Retail DVD to install. This one has Win8 Core and Pro aboard, and it will install the correct version, depending on your key (which should be read from UEFI BIOS automatically).

    Unfortunately the Single language edition requires a different ISO, the key is incompatible to the normal Core.
