    Hi guys,
I have really outdated Gateway Solo computer running Windows ME OS which I want to donate. This thing previously belonged to my daughter and, though all personal stuff has been removed from there, I would feel better if I'll format the hard drive and do fresh re-install of the original OS. There are two problems, though:
    1. I have no idea how to accomplish this whole process.
    2. I have no Window ME system disk.
I would really appreciate any help from the computer professionals, please!

    Hi Weedy,
I have downloaded archived ME file from there, but cannot extract stuff from the archive because it seems to be password-protected. I do not know how could it happen with free stuff and cannot find this password anywhere as well. Any ideas, please?

It's always safer to download 'untouched' ISOs with verifiable checksums like the one posted by MaJo24 here.

ISOs without verifiable checksums are potentially very risky propositions from the security point-of-view.
