I have attempted to reactivate WInows7 but keep getting a blue screen error about a kernel stack error - is it possible to use a different computer to enter all of the licensing information to reactivate or must it be done on the computer that says I am running an illegal version?

sounds like hardware issues with RAM or Hard Disk.

it has to be done in the windows that needs to be activated.

What error code is shown on the BSoD? Does it reference a specific file that is faulting?

    Rwactivate Windows 7

The blue screen info:"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage. A device driver attempting to corrup the system has been caught."

It tells me to disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software - when I try to check my devices, I get the message that my Windows is not genuine and I cannot continue.

At the end of the blue screen message, under Technical Information: "Stop: 0x000000C4" (0x000000000000000000) this is repeated 4 times but I didn't want to type all those zeros 4 times. At the bottom of the screen it says "collecting data for crash dume ... Initializing disk for crash dump. However, the screen stays "stuck" and the only way to exit is by using the power button to shut down.

I hope someone can make sense of all this - I certainly can't!
