The most useful thing to know is the keyboard shortcuts for everything. h**p://blogs.msdn.com/b/santhoshonline/archive/2012/08/05/windows8-desktop-keyboard-shortcuts.aspx Missed out is Windows + F (Which opens the search charm and selects Files) Windows + Q (Searches Apps) Windows + W (Searches Settings) Using Alt + F4 (On the Desktop) is allot less hassle than the normal way to shutdown. (Via the right hand charm -> settings -> power) Most of the standard Windows shortcuts are the same as they have always been.
