Hey everyone, Recently I have become interested in reading BIOS's from dead computer that have Windows 8> to try and extract the product keys for later use. I have approx. 10 dead computers at work, no longer under warranty and we are scrapping them. I've been able to find their BIOS chips, majority are Winbond brand, and have desoldered them. So far I have a Raspberry Pi 3 hooked up to a breadboard that connects to a SOP to DIP converter. Using RPi, I have enabled SPI, installed flashrom, and have been successful in reading/backing up my first BIOS. I have the file saved on a thumb drive for the mean time however I have one question; How would I go about reading the damn thing to find the product key? Can RWEverything read BIOS files saved as .bin format? I'm kind of stuck as to what or how I can read the BIOS.
