Hi ! since I upgraded from W7 32 bits to 64 bits the Ethernet chip sucks:
    1) works only with vista 64 bits drivers 7.2.1127.2008 from 2008
    2) deactivates itself when waking up from sleep mode, consequently can't be manually reactivated
    3) any other driver version, included the latest, causes a "cable disconnected" error status that can't be repaired by any means
    Any idea ?
    Thx

    PS RTL 8168C(P)/8111C(P)family realtk chipset

thank you, the problem is to stop "self deactivation" as explained above and stop the "disconnected cable" bug after sleep mode and /or reboot, I have no problem getting brand new drivers let alone the fact that only the 2008 vintage work at all.
