The Realtek RTL8188ETV 802.11N does not migrate properly with the Windows 10 upgrade. It has worked for both Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems, but now it produces a message Device USB\VID_oBDA&PID_0179\E0B2F1AB794A could not be migrated. Has anyone run into this problem or has a solution to correct it? The Device Manager shows that it's working, but when you try to enable it with the adapter it fails.
I also had a problem with a Realtek ethernetcard which couldn't wake on LAN with the generic Windows driver that came with W10. I went to the Realtek website and downloaded the most recent driver for my card and now it works again... The date on the original Realtek driver is a year earlier than the generic W10 driver but don't let that fool you...
it seems if you upgrade a device to win 10 or your replicate a device from another device the WLAN in services gets disabled. If you go back and enable the WLAN and then do a connect for the Wi-FI usb device it will then re-connect to the win 10 system
Been having problems with the "Realtek RTL8723BS Wireless LAN 802.11n SDIO" NIC on a few laptops/tablets. Some can't see/find N networks, others fail to upgrade and/or crash when adding Realtek NIC drivers after upgrade. Best solution I've found so far is to inject the latest W10 drivers into the .WIM before install. Seems to solve my problems, it might help with yours.
