I have some rather large TIF & PSD images, Either the anniversary update or an update since then has stopped thumbnail creation for images over a certain size.

I would rather not use Sagethumbs as it isn't the most stable of shell extensions & seems to cause more problems than it fixes.

Does anyone know what registry key I need to change to allow thumbnail creation of larger files again?

    Thanks.

MS fix the thumbnail cache from deleting in Windows 10. What is your size of the thumbnail cache ?

It has been cleared, the size of it is not the issue.

    A 3mb TIF will show a thumbnail, a 300mb one will not!

They used to for any size until the recent updates.

You can get round that by creating a shortcut of the image and using that as thumbnail.

That's no workaround that is a lot of hard work creating folders with shortcuts. I have thousands of image files!
