Computer turns on, black screen, will not go into bios by holding delete key upon boot.

Reseated the Video Card, still no go. Also reseated the memory ddr2 sticks, still nothing.

Cleaned and reconnected all the sata drive cables, disconnected hard drives, tried i drive at a time to see if it would boot, still a black screen.

Money is tight and I can't seem to find a suitable replacement MB, I need one with AM3 and DDR2...they seem to be obsolete!

    Running Windows 7 32 bit.
ASUS M4N78Pro MB, 4 Gigs DDR2, 4 serial seagate 1 TB HDs, AMD 5400 Video card.

Any help would be appreciated ... suggestions also welcome.

The PSU is fairly new 800 watts and worked just fine in another machine.

might be a good idea to boot with your win7 cd and do a repair that way.
also make sure you have no usb devices plugged in before you try to boot up

Well changed the battery and no joy, power supply was checked again, Still won't boot or even light up display, tried taking out the video card and tried the video port on the MB, no boot...to lit screen.
I think it's time to build another system, I think I have enough parts except for a case and a neighbor said I could have their old system, the case is a good looking one so I will probably go that route.
Thanks for all the replies...back to the drawing board.

One last thing, check your 4-Pin CPU power connector is intact.
