Hey everyone, Not sure if this is in the right section; if not can it please be moved to the correct area. I have a HP Proliant DL380 G6 server at home thats currently running VMware ESXI 6. I have a Dell LTO4-EH1 external tape drive that I would like to hook up to it in order to do some backups. So I'm looking for a cheap-ish (~$100-$200) SAS HBA that is supported by VMware ESXI 6. I'm not too sure where to start or what to look for specifically. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks sebus. I did search the vmware hardware compatibility site; I was hoping to get peoples opinions on what they have running. In the end I found an LSI SAS 3081E-R on ebay for $30. Its in the hardware compatibility list so hopefully it should work for me.
