    Hi all, we are wanting to install either SBS2003 or SBS2008 on our server, we have 3 x 500GB hard drives running in RAID 5, totalling around 999GB,

    How should we best partition this for either operating system?

    Thanks

    John

    Depends what you else you might want to install on the server.
    40-50Gb would be probably well enough for OS & other bits (but I never used any of these flavours)
    Move swap to the larger partition & make sure you have spare HD available (if not hot spare iin the server, then at least on the shelf)

    I was always advised to use four partitions with SBS.
    1. = OS
    2. = Swap/Page file
    3. = AD files
    4. = Data

    The sizes depended on how big the company was.
