Consult your manual about. Some are to recover with a recovery CD and some using a bootable USB-stick. At most you have to remove your battery before and unplug power cord. At some recovery procedure you have to press a F-key and hold while switching on..........It depends on the manufacturer.......

thanx for reply,i look at service manual and it says

    Flashing the BIOS
    Dell™ Inspiron™ 1501 Service Manual

Ensure that the AC adapter is plugged in and that the main battery is installed properly.

NOTE: If you use a BIOS update program CD to flash the BIOS, set up the computer to boot from a CD before inserting the CD. The BIOS upgrade progam CD may not be available in all regions.

Insert the BIOS update program CD, and turn on the computer.

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. The computer continues to boot and updates the new BIOS. When the flash update is complete, the computer will automatically reboot.

Press <F2> during POST to enter the system setup program.

Press <Esc Suspend>, select Save changes and reboot, and press <Enter> to save configuration changes.

Remove the flash BIOS update program floppy or CD from the drive and restart the computer.
