    Hi guys,

A few months ago I defragmented my main hard drive using PerfectDisk. For some reason it completely messed up my Windows XP partition.. it no longer boots up (gets stuck at the screen with the windows logo and blue bar). I had Windows 7 in another partition that was also defragmented but it works works fine. When I try to access the Windows XP partition from My Computer it will say unable to access or something like that and ask if I want to format it.

So I booted up linux from a live disk and it managed to access the partition, I could see the directories, files etc. However when I tried to copy some files it would give me an I/O error.. small files worked fine but it is the larger ones I had problems with.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I could use to recover these files? I really need them.

    Thanks,
    iNO12

I agree, the best recovery tool I've used.
