    I installed the latest windows updates for windows 10 and my Windows Media Center disappeared (Again!). I had issues when I updated to windows 10 from Windows 8.1 and managed to install WMC using WindowsMediaCenter_10.0.10134.0.zip.
    Now. when I try and run the installer.cmd file (as Administrator) I get an AutoIt Error - "Unable to open the script file". I click OK, the window disappears and no WMC is installed. Is anyone else having the same issue after the latest 'Windows Update" for Windows 10?

    Careful...you're using your Windows installation in "illegal" ways. :laie:

    P.S. WMC is not officially supported on Win10, thus you shouldn't complain.

    Expected behavior from a beta product, don't you think?

    Nha. Expected behavior from any kind of system that recognizes a component that shouldn't be there.

    Not an expert in this field, but why would you want Windows Media Player? I use Foobar for playing, converting etc all audio files, and Potplayer for the rest. Potplayer is amazingly good and plays a huge list of video files and DVDs. If I have misunderstood what you used Media Player for I apologise. Both of the above are legally free.

    @lostpassword

    OP is talking about Windows Media Center (http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/61061), not Windows Media Player.

    @CountChristo56

    Assuming you've updated to build 10240 to 10586, then its totally natural. You need to re-install it - use the latest version & discuss in the appropriate thread. I'm closing it here.
