I believe the purpose is to re-install Windows 8.x without using a USB flash drive or Setup DVD.
You could accomplish the same thing by shrinking your windows partition and creating a recovery image partition and just using the refresh/renew stuff that comes with Win8.x
You can even re-shrink that recovery image by exporting it to esd recovery compressed format if you know what you're doing. Messing with that stuff is not for the feint of heart though if you don't know your way around diskpart and reagentc.

Copy boot.wim to hdd, add it to bcd, copy sources dir to the root of a second partition. Boot from pe, install away.

Yes murphy78 is "Recovery" mode, is a new option of Win8.x

Is possible to copy the "install.wim" in Win8 folder and tape this command in administrator manually :
    Code:
    reagentc.exe /setosimage /path C:\Win8 /target C:\Windows /Index 1
I know HALIKUS, other solution exist but is sharing :p

Sorry is just the new option for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
Windows 7 aren't possible to do that...
