When is the next big windows update arriving? I saw news about it beeing released at 13th october. What happened that its not out yet?
If your computer already has 20H1 19041.xxx with all updates, then from August 26, 2020, you also have 20H2 or 19042.xxx (current 19042.572). You only need to enable its features, to do so use the 20H2 enabler KB4562830 released on August 26, 2020. (this update is similar to update 1903 => 1909)
There is no big new windows to be expected, it's a minor new build, just a few new features like the new start menu which already can be enabled in 20H1 too.
What new one needs to be released? The EP part won't change anymore, the Edge part possibly will, IF there will be a new one.
>When is the next big windows update arriving? Only microsoft knows >What happened that its not out yet? They were just about to release it but then found that it had problems on some machines = it has't been released yet and all the previous bits that they've released with 19042 on them are not it .
All 19042.xxx installs will be 19042.xxx installs, whether it's public or insider, only the deltabuild number will be bumped.
I agree. WU is pushing updates to 19042 that deployed the second EP. We don’t need another EP. For a second there, it sounded like Sam might be implying there would be another EP. I don’t think so.
Can people stop talking irelevant crap please . It hasnt been released yet . Besides that everything else is just speculation .
My new sources are telling me that the Windows 10 20H2 release date is October 20, 2020. Servers are being readied now. But it feels more like a rumor and I wouldn't "bet the farm" on it! Whatever date it is, there will be someone that comes forward after it is released and says: "I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE ON THAT DATE, I JUST KNEW IT ALL ALONG!!!" It's human nature to do that. So you can state a date and put your best poker face on and leave your money in the hat. MSFT release dates have not been cast in stone for a long time. The only way that would happen, is if they were contracted with corporate and government entities to deliver the release on a specific date or risk a monetary penalty of some sort. Getting the Windows 10 20H2 release feels more like going into a restaurant and ordering a plate: The order isn't done until it's cooked and on the table. How long that is going to take is anyone's guess. For now:
