Removal of Internet Explorer in win7

    Is this possible? Removal of Internet Explorer in win7

    Just go into control panel (large thumbs) -> programs and features -> add or remove features

    then uncheck internet explorer 8 and click ok.

    Just for information: You can't remove the entire IE the rendering engine still remains.

    I disabled it through "remove win features", and allthough it isn't completely uninstalled, it doesn't bother me at all. I don't see it, I don't notice it's presence. Good enough for me. I don't want a browser that I do not use staring me in the face all the time, and the "remove features" fullfills that desire.
