    If I get some time today will check it out, but I don't think such script exists/can be done, since systray icons can only be manipulated via a dll function.

    use systracer to capture registry change when turning it off in settings

    Unfortunately, literally nothing in the registry changes at all when flipping the switch. I confirmed this using Nirsoft RegistryChangesView.
