What is the reason to remove it at all, why it is good that it is not there at all? And how to use then these apps, that uses it or see these websites which uses flash player or its plugin?
I do see the benefit of removing the Flash Player, indeed more than that of removing other components people here seem to want to get rid of, as it is a security liability, no matter how much they keep patching it. Also its usefulness has been reduced, e.g. it’s no longer required for Youtube, and many think it’s on its way out. My main browser is Opera, which does not include Flash Player out of the box as Edge does. So I’ll keep the FP on Edge, for the few occasions where it is required.
1st there is nothing "wrong" with doing it this way. Because there is no easier way to remove it via Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge in a system with Windows 10 installed. Even if you do not use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge it is still there on your system, which can make it very insecure.
Because not everyone wants to make their own private, customized ISO distro of Windows 10, just to not have Flash Player installed. (Especially if you're already using Windows LTSB which has most everything already removed)
It's not wrong, it works and it hurts nothing! My method also helps those who already have Windows installed and who do not want to reinstall windows all over again. Making a customized iso (windows install) I see as more problematic than just deleting 4 files. It's bit overkill... It is like telling someone to drop a nuclear bomb in order to swat a fly when you could just use a fly swatter.
you said you didnt want to use "MSMG ToolKit". Fair enough, but you didnt rule out dism altogether. Everytime you do a reinstall you will have to remove those files. Its just by the grace of god i can actually wipe myself but even i can use dism with or without a gui. In all fairness, your way may not be the correct or accpeted way of doing it, but if it works for you, hey ho.
try these: install_wim_tweak.exe /o /l install_wim_tweak.exe /o /c Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-Package /r install_wim_tweak.exe /h /o /l
The goal is not to make a customize windows install, rather how to address a copy of Windows already pre-installed (without having to reinstall it again). If dims has an option to remove flash player from a working install of Windows 10 without making a new install; I did not notice it, but I welcome you to point it out. I was just thinking the same thing about 'your way'. To each their own. (Your method will just re-add flash back as soon as they release a new update. My method I can redo without issue)
