Either get a modded theme, Genuine555 has been working on those. or go to start, type "services", scroll down to where you find software protection platform and stop that service. Note, stopping the SPP service also kills windows update so be careful when doing that.

Can u tell me which files u found it in ? I'll check it out.

systemcpl.dll does have the image in bitmap 4, at least on my end it does :

    systemcpl.jpg

Nevermind, I see what u mean. I also have the dutch language pack, and bitmap4 is also in english here, as in system props it is dutch.
By installing the language pack, it must have stored the dutch version in some other file, instead of just replacing this one. Bummer...

Still, let me know which files u also found it in.

    I found it:

    C:\Windows\System32\nl-NL\systemcpl.dll.mui

delete the bitmap 4 in this one.

    look at my screenshot :

    Cheers

in "shell32.dll.mui" both in C:\Windows\System32\nl-NL and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\nl-NL folder, they are dutch there but replacing them eg with a white bmp doesnt change a thing, and that is all done taking ownership and after rebooting ..

    @ genuine555

would it be posible to provide step by step directions exactually how you did it? I cant get rid of it, althought i replaced the systemcpl.dll.mui files in both my system32 and syswow64 dirs. I stil shows the logo. Are these the only file(s) where you deleted the bmp nr4?

    thx in advance

Hi did ask to remove THE IMAGE. Off course that's possible too, but requires the text strings to be altered. If you want I'll post that solution too.

I only deleted bmp 4 in c:\windows\system32\nl-NL\systemcpl.dll.mui and replaced it.

I will post instructions in a short movie...

i did exactually as in your movies, not working here? could this have something to do with my virus scanner or some 'windows protection service'?
uac is disabled here to, this is very odd..

Really strange indeed. Did you try reboot instead of loggoff ? Also, win firewall is disabled here, and I mean the whole service, in services.msc. Maybe u could try reverting to english, and then back to dutch (control panel -> country & lanuage). Could also be because u altered other files, like in Wow64 folder. I'm just guessing here...

Also, are u on x64 or x86 ? on x64, u need the latest version of restorator (2 build 1747).

EDIT : also look in security properties of the file, if "Administrators" are the owner of the file, and that u are logged as administrator. If not, change the owner to administrators and give them full control.
