How to remove user image from login? top-password.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/windows-10-account-picture.jpg To get this? top-password.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/remove-account-picture.png
No it does not. I have searched over the past few months and so far I have not found anyone who has reversed engineered this to give us a choice of having or not having the user account picture on the login screen. Perhaps it will happen soon.
I don't know about anyone else, but I do not want any user account picture default or otherwise on the login screen. That was possible before 14371, but since then I am no longer able to remove the user account picture.
I tried to modify the authui.dll but apparently its not there like it was in W7. AFAIK UIFILE are encrypted in W10... i could be wrong.
I have looked at the files that are open when the login screen is present and I am unable to identify which file the user account picture is coming from. I am confident that there is someone who will find a way to remove the user account picture on the login screen in the anniversary edition. For now all we can do is wait.
The online user account, yes but the system has defaults. Then those defaults get moved to a hidden working location. You really cant remove the resource unless you reverse engineer a file. If that is done a update will kill it. lol
I've 2 MS-Accounts, 1 with picture and the other without a picture! In Settings -->Accounts, in all computer with W10-Insider, there isn't any picture! That works fine for me and only those computer with the MS-Account and there saved Picture, is showing that picture! That said, I do believe the most easy way for the OP is, to create a new MS Account without User-Picture and use that if no User-Picture is wanted!
I know it will not be as easy as it was before and I realize that it will have to be done after each new build, but I would just be glad to be rid of the user account picture on the login screen including the default picture which after all is a picture. It would just be nice to have the choice. Can you hear us Alphawaves?
AFAIK, and as long as you use a MS-Account, you'll need to either remove or change the picture within your MS-Account at MS Website! Only if you use a Local Account, that picture is mainly saved on your local OS! As Windows 10 Insider User you mainly have to use a Microsoft Account! The may exception is the Enterprise Version which are activated via VL/LMS Service and not via MS Server! Just, the Account picture is handled via Settings -->Accounts and as you change or delete it there, it shows or don't. I'd test that today on a 15007 Enterprise and works well. For sure it's simply up to you how you like to get things working or not! Neither I nor anyone else could tell you what you have to really do (or not)!
