    no.. you have misunderstood me.
im not insinuating Hazar did this.
i stated, since the thread has been closed, i cannot confirm it was done by Hazar.

why do you think im accusing Hazar?
this would be great clarification for many people.
as we all know, Crypters, FUD are easy to bind executables.

i just wanted to be sure it's from Hazar.

If I remember correctly RW 22 was never packed. This has been packed with an exe packer.

Correction. It's not packed and looks like the original.
But why would you want to run this? It's been discontinued for very valid reasons.

i don't use it myself, but it's been spreading on the net, and i just wanted to find out from the source whether it's legit.
i remember when i first got into software/computing, i was infected like crazy.
    just trying to help others.

but if you say it's legit, this will help many, many people. :)

RWAT is no longer supported or hosted at MDL . Hazar is not working on it or supporting it. That makes it safe to assume its fake or repacked by someone. FYI ,RWAT is actually being sold on the web.

Worth noting , Windows 7 SP1 removes RWAT so using it is pointless. That came from Hazar himself.

    Sorry to bump this,

I get "To check for updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update. Your automatic settings wil not change." message when I check for updates on my win7. What is this wshould I do?

Has MS updated their windows updater or is this because I might have installed a new version of VB or net-frame or something in the past 2 years so checking for updates won't work? :(

Yes. Windows update needs to update itself in order to download new updates. It's just a small download it shouldn't take too long.

My main concern is will "RemoveWAT" still work after this little update?
What should I do: deinstall RemoveWAT first, then update the updater, then reinstall RemoveWAT and will this work?
And could I rollback this new updater with a restore-point I have handy?

    (Thanks for any help)
