hello, Everybody knows that antivirus suites are indispensable but slow your pc. I was wondering if there is a method of replacing an antivirus virus and still be safe. As I use firefox + adblock + noscript, I am pretty safe from surfing. All my downloads go to a certain folder. All we possibly need is a scanning engine for the download folder and if a virus is found than remove it with a virus remover. So all it needs to update is the virus remover which is free from avast for example. The same method could be applied for usb drives. Could it work? what do you think guys? cheers
