    Could always try Hiren's boot cd. Load the AV and antispyware from outside of windows.

    Avast Internet security is also able to do a scan bedore Windows load::

    It's a bootable XP environment with pre-installed tools to take care of any and all problems that may arise in windows. Just burn it to a CD and boot.
