I want to pretty much make a Windows 8 install like Windows 7 in as many ways as I can i.e no metro, no pop ups asking me what I want as my default program etc just want to install something and not be told by windows I have something new installed etc. How can I do this?
I use a combination of MSMG Toolkit and Win ToolKit v1.4.37.20 it pretty much does what you want then I use startisback for my start button. MSMG Toolkit can be found here using search and Win Toolkit can be found using Google.
Sorry, cuteee is right. I meant 6.1.7601. My standard answer, when somebody asks "I want Windows 8, but rip out all the stuff that's different than Windows 7"
download winreducer working great lots of stuff can be removed from iso also working ok with update 1 iso
its good program remove lots of s...t from iso like all metro all packages which you dont need keyboard languages services ms firewall defender, drivers, skydrive !! etc.. also can integrate all updates to iso
As long as you have no clue regarding the dependencies of removed features it's still kinda lottery .
