I know RTseven does this but I dislike it as its slow and seems to mess up my isos. Basically I never use the sample things like video, and also delete almost all the shortcuts on the start menu apart from IE, startup menu and windows update. I see multiple software available but which one can do what I need to a iso/folder so I can burn to dvd
I use WinToolKit for 'hacking' my install.wim file before creating an iso file. You could also use a firstlogon.cmd file that is scheduled through an autounattend.xml file. In the firstlogon.cmd file you could add registry deletes commands or get it to run a .reg file to delete the registry entries of the start menu items. The icons on the start menu are stored under the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist. They are encoded, but here is a list of (my) default user assist key with their decoded names.
