    Hey guys,

Not sure if it's alright posting this here but need a bit of help :/

Installed ubuntu 9.10 onto a laptop to test wep cracking but I couldn't get the driver to work. So now i'm looking to get rid of ubuntu. I have Windows 7 which was installed before ubuntu.

I know how to delete the linux partition etc. But how do I get rid of GRUB and restore Windows's boot loader?

    Thanks,

I sure hope you didn't install it within windows, if you did you might as well just format.

Put Windows 7 DVD to your DVD device, boot from DVD, then click "Repair Computer", then click "Command Prompt" and type this:

    diskpart
    bootrec/fixboot
    bootrec/fixmbr
    bootrec/scanos
    bootrec/rebuildbcd
    exit

    Click "Reboot" and it's done.

Thanks for the replies! Done that and it's gotten rid of grub. Stupid me, I couldn't remember what the commands where to restore the Windows loader hehe.

One more slight problem though, it seems when I turn on the laptop now it comes up with the Windows boot menu.. my choices are Windows 7. How can I stop this from showing up? So that it is back to normal. Theres only one OS so no reason for it to come up
