I did see several consecutive error dialogs about missing files but this is all part of a massive script so I didn't get a chance to capture it. I've since reformatted the PC and reinstalled with the VC's installed individually. However, I can do it all again. Will report back with anything I find. @spriditis I'll also try your suggestion. UPDATE: Problem seems to be solved The script installs a number of games, programs and tweaks as well as all the run times. Several programs (Such as GPU Tweak II) have dependencies on some of the Run Times. I was insatlling these programs before running your installer with /ai When I moved the Run Time installer near the start of the script, so all dependencies were already installed everything worked find. Tested twice in both scenarios and it seems somehow the order of things messed things up.
FYI: For old Windows XP PCs - last v2019 without issues = 14.28.29213.0 = VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64_35.zip.. As later v2019 versions (14.28.29231+) msvcp140.dll have unresolved imports from kernel32.dll (generally non-critical): ReleaseSRWLockExclusive AcquireSRWLockExclusive
Hello, impossible to install Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes [2020-11-10] .Computer stays on installation in initialisation and nothing else. Restarted, cleaned still blocked on the instalation process. Windows 10 Pro x64 with all latest updates. Any advices ? Thank you.
Do you have Antivirus? does it work if you extracted the installer and run Installer.cmd? or try debug parameter Code: VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe /aiD Debug mode, create VCpp_debug.log without install/uninstall any package.
yes I just extracted the exe and launched installer.cmd. All have been installed now. But when I launch vmware installation the microsoft visual C++ 2015 2019 Redistributable (X86 ) -14.24.28127 (32bits) do not install and installation is blocked
hmm coleo is right about something for sure why here running W10 LTSC sometimes similar things appeared, so I just restarted the machine and tried again and then yes everything ok ... I still don't use AV
Defender complains about threats in the latest Visual C++ Redistributable. And it deleted the executable. I'm sure it's just a false positive.
Not very helpful with no details... - OS, SQL server version, which VC-AIO version did you use (v40?), what exactly is the problem?
I tried that and then the install fixer from Microsoft "MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta". It worked after that flawlessly thank you.
